240z Privacy Policy — User Information Protection
240z is committed to protecting the privacy of every Malaysian user. This document explains what information we collect, how it is used, and your rights as a user regarding your personal data.
Effective: January 2026
1. Information We Collect
240z collects several categories of information to enable the platform to operate safely and effectively for all Malaysian users. This information is divided into the following categories:
Account Information
- Full name (must match the name on your bank account)
- Active Malaysian mobile number
- Email address
- Password (stored in encrypted form)
- Date of birth (for age verification)
Payment & Transaction Information
When you make a deposit or withdrawal in Malaysian Ringgit (RM / MYR), we record transaction details including the amount, timestamp, payment method (FPX, TNG eWallet, or local bank transfer) and reference number. Full bank account numbers are not stored directly on our servers — this data is handled by third-party payment providers who comply with industry security standards.
Device & Browser Information
- Device type and operating system (Android, iOS, Windows)
- Web browser type and version
- IP address and approximate geographic location
- Platform usage data (pages visited, session duration, clicks and interactions)
- Unique device identifier for security and fraud prevention purposes
Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The 240z platform uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to enhance your experience. Cookies allow the platform to remember your preferences, maintain your login session, and understand how you use the platform so we can continue improving our services. You can manage cookie settings through your browser, though disabling certain cookies may affect platform functionality.
2. How We Use Your Information
Account information is used to verify your identity at login, ensuring only the legitimate account owner can access funds and transaction history. It also helps us detect suspicious login attempts and prevent unauthorised access to your account.
Payment data is used solely to process MYR deposits and withdrawals accurately and securely. Transaction records are retained for account statement purposes, dispute resolution, and compliance with financial reporting requirements in Malaysia.
Usage data and device information help the 240z team understand how users interact with the platform, identify areas for improvement, and ensure smooth performance across the wide range of mobile devices used in Malaysia.
Contact information is used to send important account-related notifications, verify large transactions, provide customer support responses, and inform users of any changes to platform terms or policies that directly affect them.
3. Data Storage & Security
240z takes a layered approach to protecting user data. All communications between your device and our servers are secured using industry-standard SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption, ensuring that data in transit cannot be intercepted by third parties.
User passwords are not stored in plain text — they are encrypted using a secure hashing algorithm before being saved. This means that even in the unlikely event of a data breach, your actual password will not be exposed. Account data and transaction records are stored on servers protected by multi-layered firewalls and intrusion detection systems that operate around the clock.
Data retention periods are as follows: active account information is retained for the duration of the account and for at least 7 years after account closure for Malaysian legal compliance purposes. Transaction records are kept for a minimum of 5 years. Access logs and device data are retained for 90 days for security purposes. Once the retention period expires, data will be securely deleted or anonymised.
While we implement robust security measures, no online system can guarantee absolute 100% security. Users are therefore also responsible for keeping their passwords safe, not sharing login credentials, and ensuring that devices used to access 240z are free from malware.
4. Sharing Information with Third Parties
240z does not sell, rent, or trade users' personal information to any third party for marketing or advertising purposes. However, there are limited circumstances where information must be shared with specific parties to keep the platform running:
- Payment Providers: Information required to process MYR transactions is shared with authorised payment service providers such as FPX processors and local digital wallet providers. They are held to strict financial data security standards.
- Game Providers: Certain game session data may be shared with game software providers for technical maintenance and game result verification purposes. This is done under strict confidentiality agreements.
- Legal Authorities: Where required by Malaysian law or a valid court order, 240z will disclose the necessary information to the relevant law enforcement agencies or regulatory authorities.
- Fraud Prevention: In cases involving suspected fraud, money laundering, or other unlawful activity, relevant information may be shared with financial institutions or law enforcement agencies for investigation purposes.
All data sharing is carried out on a minimum-necessity basis — only information that is strictly required for a specific purpose is shared, and nothing beyond that.
5. User Rights & How to Contact Us
As a 240z platform user, you have certain rights regarding the personal data we hold about you. These rights are in line with widely recognised data protection principles:
You may request a copy of the personal information we hold about you at any time through our support channels.
If any information we hold about you is inaccurate or outdated, you have the right to request a correction by submitting appropriate supporting evidence.
You may request the deletion of your account and personal data, subject to mandatory retention requirements under Malaysian law.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
240z reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our data practices, new legal requirements, or service improvements. When significant changes are made, users will be notified via in-platform notifications or email. The latest version of the Privacy Policy is always available on the 240z website, and the "Effective" date at the top of the document indicates when the last update was made. Continued use of the platform after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
